New grant
November 05, 2017
In July, the results of the competition for receiving grants from the Russian Science Foundation were announced for the event "Conducting research by scientific groups under the leadership of young scientists".
One of the contest's winners was Elena Kozhunova, a research fellow at our laboratory.
The project is devoted to thermo- and pH-sensitive microgels on the basis of interpenetrating meshes for the creation of coatings and membranes for biomedical applications. The project is designed for 3 years. Irina Nasimova, Alexander Chertovich, Vladimir Rudyak, Pavel Kos and Mikhail Frolov take part in the work.

Conference in the mountains of France
April 18, 2017
In early April, a graduate student of our laboratory, Pavel Kos, took part in a conference devoted to multiscale modeling and experimental study of the genome. The event took place in the mountains of France, in the historic place of École de physique des Houches.
He was the only graduate student who delivered an oral report. The conference was attended by such scientists as Erez Lieberman Aiden, Tim J. Stevens, Ralf Everaers, Angelo Rosa, Daniel Jost, Yitzhak Rabin and others.
Article in Langmuir
March 28, 2017
Finally, our article on the copolymerization of substrates in Langmuir was published (http://dx.doi.org/10.1021/acs.langmuir.7b00406). In this paper, the results of laboratory experiments and computer modeling for the process of copolymerization in nanopores were compared for the first time, the full text is available at http://istina.msu.ru/media/publications/article/820/db2/51428537/acs.langmuir.7b00406 -3.pdf.
Interesting publication in Science
March 15, 2017
This week in Science came out a very interesting publication about the structure of chromatin in single mammalian cells, http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/vaop/ncurrent/full/nature21429.html In general, the work confirms the general results on the structure of chromatin , previously made on the basis of averaged data on a large population of cells.

Fresh article
February 21, 2017
In cooperation with Ph.D. E.N. Govorun published a fresh article, which was announced on the site of the Moscow University http://www.msu.ru/science/news/fiziki-mgu-izuchili-samoorganizatsiyu-molekul-polimerov.html.
The paper deals with a special class of macromolecules consisting of short and long blocks randomly distributed along the polymer chain (sections from the same monomer units). This consideration, we hope, will improve the scientific understanding of structuring in complex systems such as random multiblock copolymers.
